Who organizes the Belgian HR Excellence Awards?
The Belgian HR Excellence Awards are initiated and organized by ARC Event, a subsidiary of The ARC Group srl/bv, in collaboration with the CHRO Executive Circle network and community.
Is there a fee to enter the Awards?
No, there is no fee associated with a nomination or completion of a dossier. Participation to the ceremony, however, requires table(s) or seat(s) booking.
Can I enter if I am -or work for- an international company?
Yes, international companies may enter the HR Excellence Awards providing that they have a subsidiary or office in Belgium. Individuals may only enter if they are physically based in Belgium.How do the organizers guarantee the objectivity of the HR Excellence Awards?
The 3 Awards segments -providers, employers, personalities- are supervised by independent jury’s. Judges are all leading HR experts and are chosen upon their experience and excellent reputation in the HR industry. A careful selection process ensures there is no conflict of interest, with each judge sending in their scores individually, and winners designated after deliberation of the whole jury.
What makes a ‘winning’ dossier?
Dossiers must be as short and structured as possible and completed upon a formal template. Strong and inspiring stories that use supporting data and appropriate metrics, as well as narrative examples, results and anecdotes have more chances to positively influence the Jury than a mere summary.
May we withdraw our nomination once accepted?
No. Once accepted, a nomination is definitive and cannot be withdrawn, whatever the reason.
How many entries can we/I submit?
Nominees in HR Providers segment may only enter a dossier in the category(ies) for which they have been nominated. For the Employers segment, nominees may enter a maximum of 2 dossiers and providing that they submit different cases.Can we use our own case for the HR Providers awards?
No, the case submitted must imperatively be one describing what you have delivered for a client organization. The latter cannot be a subsidiary or sister company of the nominee.Can we return an anonymous dossier to the Jury?
No. A dossier must clearly identify the organization and the case. An anonymous case is automaticaly rejected.Will my dossier be made public?
No. Dossiers are only seen by the Jury members who are all bound by a non-disclosure agreement. Dossiers are never made public, even partly. In the same way, the name of client organizations for the HR Providers segment are not revealed publicly. However, nominees and winners are free to disclose information themselves and upon their own responsibility.Can we use international references as case?
International cases or projects may of course be used but with the proven evidence that it is centrally managed from Belgium and with a majority of Belgian-located staff.When are winners informed?
Winners of the HR Excellence Awards are not informed beforehand. In order to keep the suspense intense until the last minute, winners are only revealed during the Awards ceremony.Are nominees obliged to participate to the Awards ceremony?
No of course. But it seems logical that nominees are present as a recognition sign towards their staff, their clients and the HR community. Also, winning an award while being absent should be an enormous opportunity missed to walk the red carpet and come under the spotlights of excellence. Fortunately, it never happened since inception in 2010.Do nominees enjoy a preferred fee for attending the ceremony and dinner?
No. The fees are the same for everybody, nominee or not.I am a service provider. May I submit a nomination on behalf of a client?
No. Providers are of course welcome to encourage one or several clients to apply for the Employers and/or Personalities categories, however the client must request a nomination itself.
